El objetivo principal del proyecto es el estudio de la diversidad genética existente en variedades “bandera” iberoamericanas de vid, Tempranillo y Malbec, para seleccionar genotipos o líneas más adaptadas a las condiciones de cambio climático que permitan ir sustituyendo a los clones más sensibles a las nuevas condiciones. El proyecto permitirá obtener variantes somáticas de los varietales más relevantes de España y Argentina e identificar genotipos más adaptados para las nuevas condiciones ambientales manteniendo el genotipo básico de la variedad, sus características productivas y enológicas y su denominación.[:en]

The main objective of this project is to study the existing genetic diversity in Latin American «bandera» vine varieties, Tempranillo and Malbec, in order to select genotypes or lines more adapted to the conditions of climate change that allow the most sensitive clones to be replaced by the new environmental conditions. The project will obtain somatic variants of the most relevant varietals in Spain and Argentina and identify genotypes more likely adapted to the new environmental conditions, maintaining the basic genotype of the variety, its productive and oenological characteristics and its denomination.[:]
