The project aims to solve the main limitations of SME innovation by feeding the innovation ecosystem, based on 3 key concepts: First, that communities become the new organizational unit of the innovation process and define the innovation ecosystem; Second, that the generation of innovative ideas, the development of new products and the dissemination of innovations are carried out in parallel by self-organized communities of different actors (i.e., the communities); Third, that the key aspect that will define success or failure in discontinuous innovation projects will be the amount of cognitive diversity that companies (or groups of companies) will be able to gather and manage.
